Force screen refresh?

Post by sparrowhawk »

Hi,

New to the game, but enjoying it greatly! One quick question, I'm running the game with the -w option on a monitor that does not support 1024x768 (prefers 1360x768). Things seem to be working fine, except that if I minimize/resize/switch out of the game window I tend to get parts of different in-game menus, displays etc "stuck" on the main map. Is there anyway to force the map to redraw?

Thanks -- the forums have been a great help getting up and running! Is 1.3 in the works?

Getting my butt kicked around the pacific in Jutland, but having a good time. Here's some additional info in case anyone has any thoughts. Basically, the map is getting redrawn in a different location anytime I try to order a destination hex, a screenshot is attached.

An unrelated oddity is that at the end of each turn resolution, I get the following error on screen:
"Exception Processing Message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bfc 75b6bf9c" with an "continue, try again, cancel" selection. Hitting continue does not crash the game and things proceed as before. Has anyone else seen this? My specs are:

AMD 64 4000+, 2gigs RAM, geforce 7900 gs, win xp sp2.

Ok, solved the problem with the map redrawing.  Running the program in windows 98 mode fixed the problem -- the issue was that the task force screen was not being removed from in front of the map when the "set TF destination hex" option was selected.  Now it works fine.

I'm still getting the exception processing error, but it doesn't seem to disrupt the game any, so no big deal.

Anyway, if anyone else has this issue there's the answer.
