Seriously

Bases to hold will be Noumea, Port Moresby, Suva, Canton Island, Christmas Island. That is a line in the sand heading southwesterly. I have had success with a base on Attu Island and Midway will not be lost. Carrier will be out of harms way unless it is necessary. My troops will need all the weinies they can eat to repel the evil little yellow men. [:)][8D][:'(][:D]

I agree with you on holding that line.
However, I have feeling that early development of that "little" dot hex (Portland Road) at the end of the trail from Cookville may be beneficial. Only 6 hexes to PM and can be built up a size 7AF. [;)]

SRA

Load all resources and oil and ship it off to Perth and Sydney. Fighting withdrawal to Batavia and Soerabaja. Try to keep hold of Kendari. All planes and some of the base forces will be evacuated wherever possible. After the first couple of week the bombers will pull back to harass to invading Japs. Singapore will try to hold out as long as possible, the retreating units will converge there. [:)]

Imperial Navy/Army communiqué:-

Successful attack on Pearl on the 7th. Enemy battlewagons immobilised. Raid on Wake completed, landings in Malaya, Phillipines and Thailand underway. Hong Kong is expected to fall soon – army units preparing for the ICH-GO offensive in China. Overall the situation is favourable for the early phase of the Greater East Asian defensive war.
