It sounds like that Allied HQ unit in Bombay that was mistakenly set to be Japanese. I forget which one it was but you fixed it (unless the error crept back in).

Okay - I just checked and that error is back in. It's slot 189, RIN Naval HQ. I checked in the database and the unit is defined as Indian, but it comes up in the game as Japanese. If I recall correctly you found that the slot was misbehaving and you had to change slots. I'll look for those posts and reference them here.

Sid,

You started a thread called "Location Slot 189 Notice". Here is what you wrote:

"This slot is in the ALLIED HQ range.

It is apparently hard coded as an AXIS slot.

No matter it is in the Allied range, no matter you assign it an Allied nation, it is ALWAYS an Axis unit.

So either do not use the slot - or use it for an Axis HQ."

Well, finally that was not true. The problem was the HQ (215 India Command) changing the unit command to UK SouthEast Asia, solved the problem

This is correct - the slot didn't turn out to be bad after all - it just seemed to be bad until Blitzk figured out the command issue. We are finding command assignment is a big deal with respect to location file items - and can cause strange code behaviors. I am presently moving all reinforcements coded British from certain locations (code is upset if they are East of a certain point) to Aden or some such.

However - the command assignment seems to be wrong in some Level 6 scenarios - so that explains your report.

EDIT: Location slot 189 was wrong in ALL scenarios of ALL levels. Either we never corrected it - or we somehow lost the saved files along the way. Frightening either way. Eternal diligence is the only way to get erratta out. Never trust even what you know you did.
