Low spec/hi spec?

Commander – Europe at War Gold is the first in a series of high level turn based strategy games. The first game spans WW2, allowing players to control the axis or allied forces through the entire war in the European Theatre.

Low spec/hi spec?

Post by Oleg Mastruko »

When I first started the game on my laptop I was asked something like "Is your PC low spec or hi spec?" or whatever was the exact phrasing used. Just for the heck of it I clicked low spec to see how will the game look like (ie what is sacrificed).

BTW, what exactly is meant by low spec or hi spec, or how it affects the game, is never explained, so what exactly is "low specification PC" for this game?

Anyhow, I would want to switch to hi spec, but the option is nowehere to be seen? So I play low spec from then on.

There is TXT file settings.txt with option LOW_RAM 1. Is that it? I change 1 to 0 and I am back to hi spec?

Please explain how do I switch my game to hi spec PC, thanks.

Switch the LOW_RAM 0 in settings.txt yes.
That resets the specification option giving you that "low vs high" popups next time you start game [:)]
