How much longer?

A simple estimate, are we looking at days or weeks?

No idea. I figured it would have been released already.

I'm betting it will be out Monday.

I suspect that the patch had been delayed due to a conflict with Marketing.  When ever a patch is published, they announce it.  But right now there is a Blitzkreig sale going on and they don't want to suplant that story with a patch announcement.  At least that is my assumption.  As soon as the Blitz is over we will likely get the patch.

Thanks,
Duncan

If so, it'd be ridiculous. They could at least make the patch available via the "update" option in the game's menu. I suspect it's not the case...

Their Guns of August Game is being released on Monday so I would guess it's all hands to the pumps to get a new title out. I'll keep an eye on that game looks interesting. I used to play the old SPI WWI monster game many moons ago [:D]

How long can it take to upload a patch and put up an announcement?
And to have marketing handle updates and patches is not a good move.
Frankly,I am pretty dissapointed in Matrix over this. I have come to expect better from them.

Well to be honest, as a small business owner myself, if the choice comes between getting a product out that generates revenue against a freebie, I know which one I would choose [;)]

The patch notes Jason Petho posted in another thread were labeled as July the 10th. What's the reason for such a delay? And how on Earth would a patch for CS compete with a new release?
BTW, I wouldn't say a patch is a 'freebie' - frankly, I expected engineers to work properly right from the start.
I'm satisfied with what I bought, but I'm putting off starting a campaign, waiting for the patch...

From what I've gathered....the Origins show and then the entire Matrix staff getting sick when they returned are the reasons for the delay....

Unfortunately, the Matrix Crew has their hands full between new products, updates, and recovering from Origins.

I'm sure that we wish that they were more like Microsoft. [X(] Except that there's a problem with that plan... Sure they would have the staff to do more things in parallel, but then again they wouldn't give our little niche sector of the gaming world the time of day.

Patience is hard (sometimes unreasonably so), but what else is there when the "Easy Button" isn't working?

And hey, take it easy on that kitten!

The patch should be out by Tuesday of this week. We have indeed had our schedule derailed by illnesses and other release work, apologies to everyone for the delays.
