I am getting an error while attempting to install patch 1.2.. The patch is looking for java 1.5, I am using 1.6.. what is up with that ?

Which version of the game do you have and which patch are you trying to install? Matrix/Slitherine?

matrix game and ?? patch from filefront as I cannot ever use matrix ftp directly, when I go to launch the patch it fails and is trying to find the java 1.5.. I did a search and I have 1.6

You need to get the patch from Matrix - I have no idea what patch is offered on file front. You need to talk to their tech support to find out hwo to download from them.

ok, over a year and I have not gotten any help from Matrix on the download issue, I always get my MATRIX patches third party, so .. why would a patch be looking for java 1.5? when I have 1.6,

If you want you go to the Slitherine site and grab the zip version of the patch, not the installer, and this should work with the Matrix version. If this does not work let us know and we'll chase it up.
