Russia/ China Fall44

Russian troops continue there march to Berlin practically unapposed.
The Chineese continue to show strength against the Jap aggressors.

This screenshot shows off something you do not see very often.

Winter 1945:

Germany:

In view of WW3 coming we know the new master race is Slav. Northern Italy is offered to Stalin in exchange for a chance to throw the Allied back to the sea. Germany can surrender now but if Stalin doesn't push his tanks to Berlin yet we can still give him more land to control. Will he have the wisdom?

Winter 1945 - Japan

Not much left for us to do now. At this point it's really more of a balancing act between holding the continent and making sure the Home Islands are defended well enough. If we can recover enough of our land army, the homeland may be a tough pill for the Allies to swallow.

Nothing much happens this turn due to a lack of supplies. A recon flight over Siberia reveals that the Russians are similarly supply challenged, however, which allows me to start shifting my garrisons around without too much concern.

As this screenshot shows in part, the Russian rail line is still down and he has only 10 supplies in range. Given the 2 supply penalty crossing borders in the region, this leaves most of his forces immobile.

Russian Rail was repaired this season. Forces are far from Immobile and a attack was mounted in what I think is Irkutusk. The japs are forced to retreat with many casualties. A RU Mil unit gets upgraded to Infantry from that battle.

I see no way that my Russians will be able to compete in the future WWIII

Japan Spring 45
Yikes. Seems like both Axis partners were napping a bit last turn. Certainly I had a brain lock re supplies in Siberia, which Bill exploited very well. The surviving Japanese troops run for the home islands. The end approaches. As the Allies don't have the bomb, we may have a turn or two left, though much more than that would require a miracle.

The Mis-guided Japs are completely pushed out of Mother Russia, that ill tech em that the squeeze play does not allways work in the rough and tough Russian countryside.

Japan Summer 1945

The W. Allied bombers effectively rendered Kyushu defenseless in the spring. I think 4 ART were taken out. To be honest, I'm not sure why he didn't land. A shortage of transports, perhaps?

In any event, knowing that a landing is inevitable and that it will succeed this turn the Japanese pull their remaining defenders back from the beaches to make Tokyo as tough a pill to swallow as possible. I toyed with the idea of reinforcing Kyushu to see if I could keep the barbarian invaders from the sacred homeland for another turn, but I don't think I would have been successful and it would have left Honshu exposed.

Though we can't see it, I presume that there's much jockeying for position going on across the rest of the world as the Russians and W.Allies drift towards the end of their alliance. If you guys want to start now and leave us trapped on our little island, that'd be fine with us.

It seems our adversaries recognizes Japan invincibility and have gone missing... trembling in some comfortable lair [;)]

Should we count this one month of absence as a Decisive Victory for the Axis? [:D]

In the meantime we keep ourselves busy [>:]

I have sent Avatar47 many emails but I have heard nothing since Sep 11 at which time he said he wants to continue in the tournament(s).
But, if I do not hear from him by this Saturday I am going to declare him MIA and Thus our team will be eliminated.

If that happens you guys will get a DV.

For what it's worth don't think we deserve a DV. A draw or a minor victory maybe. As RJH1971 is looking to be replaced you could team with A511 and keep your VP.

As much as I would like to keep on playing, now that the WA are begining to recover, if you want to substitute me Bill I will be glad to hand command over to you, a511 is an excellent player so that's no setback. In one of our games we are almost starting (ArtMarshall and Sandeman) and the otherone is in Sp43 iirc (Tica and Polonthi).
Anyway drop me a mail or a pm and tell me what you'll do, I will pass you the pwd and give you hints on what strategies a511 and me are following.

WA Summer45

Avatar did give me his password and I have finally gotten around to trying to finish this game up for scoring purposes in the Tournament.

Biggest action this turn was a major air Battle over Tokyo.
WA have landed in force on the mainland and we expect total victiory in the FAll!

Turn sent to Tica ( I hope he still has version 1.010 on his hardrive)
