You can not upgrade CW aircrafts until May 1942 !, then you must to fight with your Buffs. For the other hand... could be more interesting to transfer ABDA HQ to Soerabaja ?.
Best wishes

Hmm I thought that you can upgrade Australians earlier than Brits....

I think there is only one RAAF Buffalo Squadron and you "should" be able to upgrade to Hurricanes. However, I think you will need to wait another turn for your supply to move a little higher. Another problem might be the distance of your HQ for the fighters.

I have been able to accept replacements for my Dutch LBA when I didn't have over 20k for supply. However, this is usually a one turn opportunity until the 20k condition is met. Strange.....[8|]

Gents,
the news are bad. Somehow Jap carriers managed to sneak near Canton Island and slaughter the Navy ships present there. The loses are quite high 4 DD's and a DMS.... CL Leander damaged, 3 more DMSs damaged and will probably sink. Fortunately we managed tounload supplies from Jacob Luckenbach before it got his by the enemy carrier based planes. This is a sad day for the Navy.

Meanwhile in more to the South the enemy captured Ellice Islands.

Port Moresby is still being attacked by Betties based in Rabaul. Our transports are moving in with supplies and troops are being scheduled to the place.

In the Palembang region our pilots managed to hit several Jap transports but their morale is tragic they will have to rest for a while....

In China the enemy tried to push our troops out of Canton but did not succed and sustained heavy loses. Some other exchange of fires took place around the northern part of the coutry.

Japanese Deliberate attack

Hi Yava, let Dixie have his fun now.  It won't be long before it's your turn.  [;)]

I need to go back and re-read this AAR from the start, since Mynok and I are just starting a CHS game.  I'm particularly interested to read again how Japan is trying to kick the Allies out of Canton.  [X(][:)]

Hi Mike,
well the problem with this game is that I made some mistakes at the beginning and Dixie has some bright ideas when it comes to distracting supply lines, moreover he is quite fast with doing that.

My mistakes:
Pilots - tired, low morale.
Some units in the WC and OZ not moved at the beginning.
Wrong interpretation of his moves (at least now I think that he will be playing on the PH - Canton - Suva line with his CV's but I can't be sure)
All in all quite a mess... especially in DEI - I did not run like hell with resources and supplies from Borneo and that was a mistake now Dixie can prevent it easily.

Ah, help and luck will be needed... [;)]

btw. Take a look at the British AP's you have some good ones... [:)]

Gents,
our scattered Navy after the Jap attack on Canton Island is on the run. CL Leander plus another DD were sunk by the Japs today. We encountered the Jap TF E of Canton Island.
Image
Should this raid not only be a hunt for transports but also a cover for the Japs upcoming landing at Baker Island? We have spotted some Jap Transports probably heading in that direction. For safety reasons subs have been placed around the island.

We also know where the rest of Jap carries is lurking.
Image

In the news from other parts of the Pacific... RAF HQ arrivd at Java with supplies... 13 Australian Bde is en route to the island... slowly moving from Perth.

Nothing of interest happened elsewhere...
That would be all.

It's always fun to see carriers in a surface combat.  [:D]

Unless they're your carriers, of course.  [X(]

Well you know, I think that I am missing something so far... a few carriers that is...
One TF moving away from PH, One TF (3 Carriers) near Canton Island, I lost track of the carrier(s) that attacked Bali, one Carrier was near Samarinda...
Dixie plays on the line US - OZ and frankly I can't really do much about it. I just hope to somehow ship supplies and oil/fuel (not to mention other things) to OZ. So far only planes are being transfered without a problem to OZ but fighters could be handy as wel not only bombers. I just can't stand the feeling that something bad is going to happen soon. [:)]

I know that feeling.  I keep imagining the worst as Mynok puts his evil Alien forces into motion.  [:D]

It's the six or so restarts I have given him that has allowed the nefarious Dixie to refine his op plans. He is doing much better this time.

You should send some supplies to Johnston Island ASAP, or your base force will accumulate disabled squads rapidly, and your float planes won't get repaired.
