Jan 15: Kluck gets replaced by Fabek?

Hi,

It was already mentioned by williamhawes in another thread, but I was afraid it might be unnoticed so I put the spotlight on it with this new thread.
His (and mine) problem is the disappearance (sp) of some CP generals like Kluck, Frank, Hindenburg and their replacement by generals like Mackensen, Josef, etc. at the beginning of turn jan feb 1915.
Is this intentional? Also spelling changes like Bulow to Below.

Frank put siome nice touches in the game.  The renaming of HQ occurs as a result of historical events.

In the case of 2nd Army, Below replaced Bulow, thus it is not a mis-spelling.
 
2d Army

• GO v. Buelow (24 March 1846 - 31 August 1921), 2 August 1914-4 April 1915.

GdInf Fritz v. Below, 4 April 1915 - 19 July 1916.
 
11th Army

• GdInf v. Fabeck, 9 March 1915 - 28 March 1915.
• April 1915, Army moved to Serbia.
• GO v. Mackensen, 16 April 1915 - 18 September 1915

9th Army

• GO v. Beneckendorf u. v. Hindenburg, 17 September 1914 - 1 November 1914.
• GdKav v. Mackensen, 1 November 1914 - 15 April 1915.
• GFM Prinz Leopold v. Bayern, 16 April 1915 - 30 July 1916.

Thanks for your clear reply, those were facts I wasn't aware of. Learnt something today and feel relieved the game is working as it should. The worshipping smiley would be appropriate here!

So are the previous HQ names put back in the build file?  In my game, Mackensen replaced Hindenburg so I presume the Hindenburg can pop up again in a future HQ build........

I don't think so. I think Hindenburg is off to run the German Army and no longer qualifies to be a HQ

If Frank put that much detail into this aspect of the game then he is to be commended!
