I will get Lenningrad probably, but no more this year. I have only one clear week left, I will begin to dig in soon. I want to live to see 42...

Our panzers in the north got into desperate situation after weeks of isolation. The Luftwaffe flew in a lot of supplies to the beseiged panzers. Some supply went for the panzers outside the enemy encirclement as well. The soviets were heavily bombed and the the exhausted survivors got out (a record 178 iron crosses were handed out, 100 of them were sent for the dead heroes family).

The troops attacking Lenningrad were strenghtened and for the first time they got proper air support for their last chance attack. The defenders could not handle this and Lenningrad has fallen.

Snow

The weather turned colder, and first snow fell. Most of our infantry were given orders to dig in deep for the winter. All of our panzers were massed for one last strike in direction still classified. The red air force is getting strong. The Luftwaffe must adress this problem in the next few turns. Undefended Tikhivin, Voronezh, Sevastopol has fallen.

Hi Tom1939,

Great to see you again. I hope your family and kids are all well?

Im finding it hard to write about the game Josan's and I are playing (43 camp). The turns are far and few between and the game is a stalemate (great for Germany). Any little gain I make as Russia is quickly punished and extra ground is lost!! I'm finding him a very skilled and tough player.

I'm enjoying reading your posts as it has been years since I have played a 41 camp.

Yes, thx. My twins are doing great (a boy and a girl). I making turns so fast because they are on holiday with my wife, they are stayin by my mother in law. I have not much holiday left so I am by them for 4 days every 2 weeks.

Josan and you are very hard opponents, only one other opponent did I met like you (greetings Shane from australia!). Alll 3 of you crushed my like a weakiling that I am:)

Tdv is doing well, I'm mortally afraid of the blizzards. If I can keep my forces intact, I will have a chance. But a big if.

Swimming classes are being organized for the infantry with the heavy emphasis on how to get out of deep water if it starts to freeze fast. All of our panzers are half buried in mud. Some cold and we will have more then 2000 dug in little bunkers. Perfect defense...

The Luftwaffe met the elite guard yak squadrons of the red air force this week. What should have been a business as usual air supply mission for our elite:) Rumanian comrades heading for Stalingrad turned to a massacre. Our fighters were on the outside of their range when hundreds of yaks attacked. Our slightly inexperienced fw's were overmatched and the ju's massacred. Losing total air suppriority for the winter would be real nice:(

p.s: I did not play for a long time... Something came to my mind just I saw the blizzard. How was that with the blizzard bug? High readiness shatters as well? If that is the case I'm doomed as my line is over 80 readiness on most places, dug in real deep. Is my line dead?

[&o]Tom1939, you are narrating an interesting story my friend, keep up the good work. Why isn't TDV adding any narrative? Give some balance to the story. (aka, counter Goebbels propaganda...lol)

Sorry, my English isn't so good. I doubt my stories would be a fun for readers.
My key mistake in this game I was sure that the single PanzerCorps can't come through a full size Shock Army with good entrenchment level (4) in September 1941.
(Shock Army - 1 Tank dision (800 strenght, experience 45-47), 7 Rifle divisions (size - 280-310, experience 40-45).
Leadership - Vasilevskii (8), OP=60.

After that I got a huge encirclement and lost about 18000 squads.

Now the balance in losses is 5000(German side)/50000 (Russian side).
Not to bad for me. At least I have enough full size divisions for the first line Armies.

The enemy shattered a corps and forced another to retreat. How much more we like rain then a month ago:) The red air force outclassed the Luftwaffe today. Goering was sent on a long holiday.

p.s.1: TDV your english is not bad at all, it would be fun if you would write down your side of the war

p.s.2: the blizzard bug is still around, my high readiness units showed up in much smaller numbers to combat then slightly lower readiness units I think (the one that got shattered was a full stacked 90+ readiness, entrenched fortress...)

I am playing a solo game right now that is almost exactly pacing the posts you guys are making. So it's very interesting for me too see.

I got 3 weeks of blizzard in December and somehow you guys are getting rain ? Sheesh.
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.

This Galland guy jumping in for Goering is very agressive. He isnsists on first destroying the best yak units of the enemy. It will be easy after that he keeps sayin, we will destroy other air concentrations with our battle hardened fw's much easier after that. Well it is a bloody massacre right now:(
