Rain
Seeing that our lines are broken through at will by the reds the Fuhrer got a nervous breakdown. Manstein took over and ordered immidiate retreat on all fronts. Our losses are too devastating to stay. New lines are prepared near Minsk. The secret weapons of germany work on to create more rain...
As peace loving folks, we offered peace to the soviets through the Swedish embasy if they openly apologize for the agression against germany, they hand Ukraine, Belourus, the baltic states to germany, and agree to have an army of maximum 400.000 man with max 20.0000 kg tanks (max 300), and max 76mm artillery (max 500). Hopefully they see how favourable this terms are to them we can stop this mindless killing.

Germans are retreating very fast. We couldn't catch them this week. Orel, Bryansk, Smolensk, Velikie Luki, Demyansk, Voronezh, Rostov are liberated.
Soviet airforces tried to get a local air superiority at the North. No luck. We lost 555 planes, the German losses are 256 BF-109f

2 weeks ago the red air force somewhat weakened some mixed fighters. 2 squadrons of bf's were a bit more though:) The red air force keeps itself away from the fw's massed in the centre. But not far enough. The fw's broke through the air defence 3 times to bomb a soviet airfield but the bombers must had snow blindness as very few planes were destroyed on the ground.
Goebbels announced total war this week. Our new panzers will get back everything with intrest after this horrible winter.
Pravda was speaking about total running after that. Now we understand jokes. We just dont like them:(

This mild weather is very nice, our rainmakin wonder weapon works fine. The front could be taken back not only on rail without losses.
Soviet airfields were hit again in the centre with better results this time. In the centre we slowly regain total air control as the red's are focused on the destruction of our northern air foce.
Somwhere between the empty corpses with only few guns the panzers are hiding and waiting on the lucky combination of snow and too brave red armies.

Soviet troops are tired to offence in the mud. Readyness are low. Stalin afraid the German counterattacks: German Corps after the rest have a good chance to shatter tired advancing Soviet Armies during the snow. The snow is exactly what we will have next week.

The German defence line is located at Leningrad-Pskov-Daugavpils-Minsk.
This is far away from the line of my initial offence (Kalinin-Rzhev-Tula)
The German propaganda is provoking us to march faster. In this case fresh German Corps will catch tired Soviet troops and will shatter it.
No ground battles this turn, the big air battle was over the North. 414 german fighters were destroyed, our losses are 444 planes.

Hitler has gotten over his depression and ordered Pskov to be held all costs. Manstein assured him that he wants to hold it as well to keep Lenningrad in supply. Russians are in danger now.
However we restored the supply line to our three encircled armies.
Two other ones couldn't break through.
In Zhukov opinion, Germans jumped out of defence a bit early because the weather is not stable and only snow would be OK for Germans.
Next turn will be blizzard

In Manstein opinion rain would have been fine as well. The soviet lines had big holes, we could have made a new encirclement for 3 shock and 1 normal armies without combat. In rain that would have been unbreakable.
But blizzard is disaster. Our gamble backfired big time. With an all out desparation attack we forced 2 shock armies to surrender. But 2 other armies encircled held out our assaults.
Now the red army can destroy the exhasusted panzers with an all out attack. We can only hope that Zhukov will be overly cautious.

One more Panzer Corps was forced to retreat with big losses.
Over 700 german tanks have been destroyed.
