Army HQ's

I know this has been asked before but I have a 3 star, Grant several 1 star Gen. in a city. The mail box shows 1 Army Hq. on the map and 1 in reserve so how do I get it on the map as I need the Hq. unit and a General to use it. I can use Grant can't I. I know this has been asked before but a little help would go a long ways, thanks

you have to have the 3 star general and the army HQ in the same province. click on the ledger and then roster, filter the army HQ and click on it to center on the map.

I am not making things clear so I will try again.
1. on the roster tab where it shows what you bought under the Army Hq. it shows 1 in use and 1 in reserve and no ability to build another one.
2. I f I follow the directions you gave the filter for Army Hq's just shows the 1 that is in use in the east theater. So there is only 1 in play AND ONE IN THE POOL
3. I have Grant, 2 3 star Gen. a couple of 1 stars and a supply unit and some troops.
4. I can click on either the 3 star or Grant and press the shift and get the radius indicator.
5. I can't figure out how to get the Army Hq. ON THE GAME MAP. The first time I played the game came up with a message that it put the 2nd. Army Hq. in PA and I had no choice about it.
6. I had bought it just like this time but the game does not want me to have it so could it have something to do with the time because it is only Oct 61.

the only thing I am thinking is that you buy it and the game puts it in play and then you can move it to where you want it. I don't want to sound testy here but it is little things like this that but me but I am still hoping to get it sorted out. The roster page does show 1 in the pool and one on the map so I think it will put it in ply at some point. Thanks for being patient.

If you have paid the costs for constructing the new Army container it will appear on the map in an unusuable condition, because it takes several turns to "create it". Usually it appears in the Washington DC area, and you should see its tab. You won't be able to use it (or move it) for several more turns. I hope this answers the questions, because leaders are irrelevant to the procedure for constructing the container unit.

New army's are built as reinforcements. If a new army is available it will show up on the support tab. As von B said, once you build the army it will appear in Washington DC, and it will be a few turns before it is available. Once it is ready, move it to the location of your 3-star and you will then have the option to create the new army. To do this, select the general and then the tab that allows you to create divisions and corps. There should be a button there to create the army.

Yeah thanks for the info. As I think about it in my first game I got a note about it saying that a new army Hq. was at such and such a place but then I restarted the game. So I just keep looking for it thanks.
