Here in Arizona you're not allowed to complain about the heat unless its over 115F. Since the HI is 116F [>:] in your neck of the country I guess a little whinning is OK. [;)]

AH, if you guys had the humidity to go with that heat like we do you'd sing a different tune I promise.............it was low yesterday @ 45% [;)]! Try spending a summer in Houston or Mobile and you'll find out what a sauna's like.

I laugh in your general direction. You want muggy - try growing up in South Florida right next to the Everglades. 7:00 AM, 85 degrees, and 90% humidity. You break a sweat opening the car door getting out at football practice. In the summer, it will usually "only" reach 98-99, but the humidity stays right there at 80% plus. Even the boars hide.

We got a good bit of rain last night, but that didn't do anything for the general muggyness... I didn't fall asleep until 5AM![X(]

BTW, happy birthday Cobra![8D]

I grew up in Mobile and I think the humidity is actually worse here in B'ham. It was 75 degrees this morning at 5:45 A.M.

Another reason for you guys to hate So Cal, it's cool, overcast, and 68 degrees in L.A. right now 9:30am. Hasn't gotten much over 80 degrees F in weeks.
I love it.

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: TOMLABEL

I grew up in Mobile and I think the humidity is actually worse here in B'ham. It was 75 degrees this morning at 5:45 A.M.

I remember the first time I felt the Birmingham heat and humidity so many years ago... but then again I was young and despite it I used to cycle those lovely hills (my relatives lived in the Vestavia area in Birmingham) every morning and then go for a swimm in country club...

Although, if you are near the coast (Seal Beach Parts of Huntington Beach, etc) the air quality is quite good.
