In EOS:

Location Slot 2952 - AA 8th(9th) Infantry Division is in the database with 'Suffix' defined as 'None' - should be 'Division' instead? As a result, no rank above Colonel can be assigned to command the division.

Also noticed that Location Slot 2939 has Suffix defined as 'None'. Because other similar units nearby in the database have other definitions, I assume this is an error.

When I started to look through the database for others, I found quite a few. Before I look further: are there some kinds of units that are supposed to have 'None' for a Suffix, or should all units have a Suffix (other than 'None')?

Yes - a unit that has its suffix fully defined in its name does not have a suffex. Also - sometimes units have the "wrong" suffix deliberately: a "division" brigade is a division with only two regiments - and it is defined as a brigade which breaks into two parts - while a "brigade" division is a brigade with THREE regiments! and it is defined as a division which breaks into three parts. Most cases of no suffix are where the unit is small. One case (the Japanese machine cannon units) are not using the code suffix because it is the wrong name and we had to put it into the name field.

2939 should be an EAB - but it doesn't have any effect being wrong.

2952 was deliberate - but the command issue is a problem - so it should be renamed. It was done to permit AIF to follow the Div designation. Other units of AIF may be similar. Nope - they are right.

IMAF = Imperial Manchukuo Air Force

INAF = Indian National Air Force (EOS 7 only)

other Axis allied air forces include

VFAF = Vichy French Air Force (Level 7 only)

RTAF = Royal Thai Air Force

And there is a RTN = Royal Thai Navy air cooperation unit

On the other side we have a Free French air element at Tahiti

and we added most of the Indian Air Force - along with an element of a volunteer Indian air service that saw action in Burma

two complete Soviet Air Forces (Long Range Aviation and Naval Aviation)

a number of civil air detachments of significance IRL or potential significance including

BOAC Empire Flying Boats out of India
Quantas Empire Flying Boats out of Australia
USAF Boeing 314 Clipper detachment (including ex US Army Clippers)
USN Boeing 314 Clipper detachment
China Airlines DC-3 unit which contracted to fly the hump before US military planes could get to India
China Airlines minor transports based in Hong Kong

and that is just what I remember!

[Slot 3306 in all Level 5 scenarios was wrong. This slot was wrong only in EOS, Level 7. It was a one digit shift from 0 to 9 - probably editor induced]
