List of the countries supported in MECS?

Hello all, I guess this might be answered better by Wyatt, but if anyone else happens to know, it would be appreciated. Does anyone happen to know what the country associations are for all three games, eg 00=Russia(Allied), 01=Germany(Axis), etc. Wyatt Kapply had made a doc years ago for the Rising Sun Project, so I know the associations up to 22=Communist China(Allied), just wanted to know if a list was available after that yet.

While I'm at it, anyone knowing any insight at all on anything involving modding CS, here would be a great place to list it, like editing the movement files for instance, never did grasp that...

Of course, Russia and the USSR are the same country, one fighting as Allied and the other as Axis. Same with Communist China and Red China.

Re: the movement files. I'm not sure if you're referring to the movement.pdx file or the movement rates in the platoon.obx files. I believe the movement.pdx file defines the "movement costs" for the various units (tracked, wheeled, foot) for the different terrain types and that file uses a different code (I think) than the other .pdx files. So you can't use the decoder program.

It's easier to modify the movement rates in the platoon.oob files and then using the decoder, change it to an .obx file. The "Rising Sun Project" document that you mentioned is a great resource and it explains the different numbers columns very well.I downloaded it a couple of months ago (can't remember where) so it's still out there. If you have it, study it. If not, I'm sure Jason knows where to find it. Good luck![:)]
