Some questions

Post by hjaco »

Hi,

Hope someone can help me with info on some of the following:

1) Can the Entente benefit from research in assault troops ?

2) Can the CP benefit from research in tanks ?

3) 1 research point gives a random research result of 0 to 3. Is that a 25 % chance for each result so that statistically 1 RP gives 1,5 in research ?

4) The progress on the research screen did puzzle me for a time but i think i have worked it out. It's a little tricky to explain.

Is it correct that the percentage progress and the marker shows the relative research progress measured on all available research levels ? That is the marker and percentage level for say ASW which begins at level 0 and can reach level 2 will reach 50 % when level 1 has been reached ?

5) When friendly nations surrender a random morale hit can occur. Within which range can that hit be and does it differ between minor and major countries ?

6) When you liberate your own cities do you get the full morale value back or just the half value again ?

7) I realize that taking casualties increases your exhaustion level but can it have an impact on morale as well (it seems so) ?

8) What kind of bonus does the quality value of a unit give to the "To hit number" in combat ?

9) How low does Russian morale have to be before the possibility of a revolution is checked ?

Thanx for all help in advance

Yes
5. Its based on the starting national morale value of the nation.  Since major powers have much higher start numbers they cause a bigger hit when they surrender.
6. I believe its half, but I would have to look this one up
7. No, not directly but it does indirectly because exhaustion affects morale.
8. I thought that was in the manual but I can look it up
9. Under 20%

8) What kind of bonus does the quality value of a unit give to the "To hit number" in combat ?

Just a 2% increase in the ToHit per level of quality difference.

Where quality is most important in combat is in maintaining readiness.  For each hit a unit takes there is a chance it will lose readiness.  A test is made (dice roll) verus unit quality.  So low quality units taking losses lose readiness quickly.
