MODING AACW?

AGEOD’S American Civil War - The Blue and the Gray is a historical operational strategy game with a simultaneous turn-based engine (WEGO system) that places players at the head of the USA or CSA during the American Civil War (1861-1865).

MODING AACW?

Post by madgamer2 »

I have followed many of the threads both here and on ageod about MOD's. I am very select in using MOD's in any game. The largest number of them deal with the leadership rules.
As a player I think you have to give the designer and developer's the benefit of a doubt before one chooses to make major changes. AACW is the first game on the Strategic level that puts you into the framework of the ACW and makes you deal with the same problems as they did then.
Changing the leadership and making the north better is a mistake in my book because the designer and developers created this game in a particular fashion and I think it works well. To those who want a more "Roll your own Game" should stick with FoF.
I love this game and have just one thing on my wish list:
1. A 2 player and/or LAN/internet capabilty. AH well maybe some day
