Player injuries during games

I am running a fantasy player league on v1.66. With my team batting in the first inning, one of my players sustained a moderate injury after hitting a double. I was forced to remove him from the game, of course, which I did. The very next day, this player is "feeling great" and back in the lineup with no injury. Either my team has one hell of a trainer, or something's wrong here. [;)]
