PBEM problems

Post by *Lava* »

Okay...

So I'm trying to play my first PBEM game and I'm having a problem.

I am playing the TE, so the other player starts the game and sends me his save file.

I start GoA.
I click "saved game".. continue
I click on the file name of our game (HimVsmMe.sgw)
It asks me to setup a password and confirm
I deploy my forces
I do my strategic phase and click next
It tells me to send the saved name to my opponent, which I do.

Now... that should be the very same file that he sent me correct? Except it should have been overwritten with my move correct?

But the file isn't overwritten and my opponent tells me when he opens the save it asks for a TE password.

I'm using the beta patch version of the game.

Any help here... please.

Thanks,

Be sure to look in the folder. I have saves that ended up in my SETUP folder, not my SAVE folder.  THe files you want to send may just be in there. If not, then I can't help, as my PBEM file trandfers seem to be working fine.

Indeed...

My normal game saves go into my misc. documents folder and that is where I put the PBEM save... which is wrong.

I did a little PBEM with myself and I noted that the save file must be in the saved games folder of GoA to work.
