Division by zero

I played the Allies, and did great. AH has surrendered, France stopped the German attacks at the boarder, Serbia even invaded Bosnia! Now Italy has joined and a British force has sacked the German haven. But before I could finish Germany I got an error telling me "Division by zero" and after clicking it gave another error saying that this was an invalid pointer action and finally:

And then I cannot exit the game without alt-ctrl-del

I can upload a savegame if needed...

FWIW, I've seen that trench.exe error as well, though I have no save files of it.[:(]

It would occur sometimes if I left the computer alone for a long time (tens of minutes or more), cats, wives or kids demanding time . . .

i.e. long enough that the screen saver would blank out the screen.
