I have no clue as to how many counterattacks the French have made but both sides should very soon reach such a state of exhaustion in offensive points due to my calculation that trench warfare will be forced on the two of you if you don't settle the situation in west very soon.

Remember - you have a reserve of AH offensive points.....

Laying low in a blood filled trench
Killing time till my very own death
On my face I can feel the falling rain
Never see my friends again

In the smoke and the mud and lead
Smell of fear and the feeling of dread
Soon be time to go over the wall
Rapid fire and the end of us all

Still got quite a few refits yet.  Won't get into static warfare proper until 1916 begins I think, at least.  Maybe even as late as spring.  Depends if I buy any more.  ;)

I'm not sitting around, I'm attacking every turn. [:D]

He is slowly being forced back but Blackhorse knows no doubt that if Paris falls its all over, so he's making it his special mission to not let Paris fall.

Also the British are here in force now. I think the French army is mauled real bad, its the British doing the majority of real resistance now I think.

Hmmm - if he is really that desperate how about transferring some Russian corps to France with British transports.

Wouldn't that be fun [:D]

The Baltic is a CP lake so far, and he's too busy with my U-boats I imagine to change that.  [:D]

Mm, well.  The Eastern Front is /huge/.  It goes from the Baltic coast north of Berlin down almost as far as the Romanian border.

And far as the Russians are concerned its not !dense either, in Poland its 3 stacks 3 deep for the Russkies in places.

The sheer combined length of fronts that the Central Powers have to garrison means there arent enough corps to go around.  The Italian Front was blown open as a result - a pretty lucky roll attacking Trent knocked a hole in the front and there was simply nothing to plug it.

If Germany survives till 1917 it'll be a miracle.

Industrially things are quite sound for now, so theres hope, just a slim hope, IMHO.

The Parable Of The Old Man And The Young

So Abram rose, and clave the wood, and went,
And took the fire with him, and a knife.
And as they sojourned both of them together,
Isaac the first-born spake and said, My Father,
Behold the preparations, fire and iron,
But where the lamb for this burnt-offering?
Then Abram bound the youth with belts and straps,
And builded parapets and trenches there,
And stretchèd forth the knife to slay his son.
When lo! an Angel called him out of heaven,
Saying, Lay not thy hand upon the lad,
Neither do anything to him, thy son.
Behold! Caught in a thicket by its horns,
A Ram. Offer the Ram of Pride instead.

But the old man would not so, but slew his son,
And half the seed of Europe, one by one.

Wilfred Owen

And so it goes...After 24 months of the "War to End All Wars", hostilities have ceased.  Peace has once again returned to Europe.

I find it telling that Hamburg was captured by the Russians before Berlin.  [:D]

The problem for the CPs when things started to go tits up was the length of all the fronts they had to garrison.

Something to bear in mind in future games...

a more in depth AAR is now complete here :-
