What's your actual problem??[&:]

The supply value for each hex is listed on the screen in the bottom right corner.

Yes you can reduce the supply value to 0 by isolating that hex from supply sources (any city), and you can increase the value by having transports on "sea supply" - these will increase the supply value of port hexes by up to 25% (to a max of 100%), which will give increased supply to hexes that aer being supplied from that city.

You haven't actually said what you think is wrong with the manual, so I don't know what your problem with it is.

Yes I think its fair to say there's a gap between what I did for the manual and what I should have done.

Perhaps, though you've been here since launch answering user questions--and that goes a long way. ;)

Well, I am reallly really the positive person as a rule... so here go on my manual critique. For instance it does not say HOW supply affects rediness.. just that it does. It, to my recollection does not say how hex get supply etc. other instance.. there is a blerb about strength where units are devided by a factor and multiplied by 7, where the assualt troops are devided by five and 24/587=24 WHAT? ok I am a quick study and this sent me scratching my head thinking there was something else at work making 5/7 =1 but no idea... so.. since the manual is pdf, a re write is not an impossible issue nor do I think something unreasonable. even adding an erratta... liek the old board games we grew up on, for those over a certain age! they would add a printed sheat called "errata" which would say things like rule 1.2.3a should read etc... just a friendly note

I really like this hq activation system and the abstracted air and naval. This vehicle with a much expaded production scheme and pre war deplomacy would be a GREAT ww2 entry. I would offer to help work on the design and testing.. free of course.

Hello Freeboy,

Gee the game and manual is out and the designer has recognized some errors done. What else can the poor bugger do ?

Anyway being a Grognard i agree with you that manual is too thin for my taste but its main purpose is to introduce new players to the game which i guess works out all right. The time of the old Third Reich reference "see 20.15643" is long past. Face it - we are dinosaurs in that retrospect.

Players are very active and helpful on the Forum so seek help here.

With reference to your two examples i had no problem finding the relevant information in the manual or to understand them [;)]

Regarding supply and readiness 21.0:

"At the end of each impulse readiness is restored based on the supply level of the hex. The supply level is a percentage between 0 and 100".

Regarding Combat 22.0:

Combat strength = strength * readiness / 7

If random (0 - 100 %) > To hit (several factors apply check the rules) then you score a hit. This is checked for all modified combat strength/

There is a readme PDF file included with the Beta patch with changes and FAQ.

since the manual is pdf, a re write is not an impossible issue nor do I think something unreasonable. even adding an erratta

The biggest hurdle is that the manual did get printed already for the boxed games.  I could write a large appendix type thing with all the numbers behind statements like "supply affects readiness" though.

Judging from feedback I've received others seem to agree with you, no plans to do so though as I have other projects to finish.

Frank.. looks like the manual is a smallish issue and the patching is mutch more .. but what did you mean by
Example, a 24 strength unit at readiness level 5 would have a modified strength of 17. A 24 strength assault corps at readiness 7 would have a modified strength of 24

Should it be 24* 7/5 ?

Could you give a hint as to those other projects?
