For sake of strategic and operational security no details or maps can be revealed for some turns [8D]
Coward!!!!!

The Prussian foreign office is not afraid to reveal the position of the front.

Status after the first turn. When I finally ordered a general attack I gained some ground

Man – looks like every ship in the various fleets are at sea. Well, that is what you get for constantly nagging me about not having enough Élan. You wanted me to role-play megalomaniac Kaiser. Well, as I wrote Weltmach order Vernichtung

Noticed my raiding cruisers still consistently fails to find any British shipping.

Can't believe the Austrians are winning navel engagements against the Royal navy. Expect to be mocked for that. [:D]

Well here we go with the AAR. And Ulver - bugger off with German propaganda or make your own AAR [;)]

Initial strategy and setup

OE will be taken softly that is Dobell and 1 Indian corps is going to take Basra and the resource north of it. First Russian mobilization in November will go to the Caucasus to execute an all out push to take the two resources. This leaves OE with two resources but this commitment should not cost me in other more important theaters.

Russia deploys 2 army groups and a cavalry screen to check AH in Galicia and gobble as many resources as possible. The main commitment will be in Prussia where first priority is to cut off Prussia west of Posen pocketing any German troops there. Resistance will be gobbled up and advance will primarily be by cavalry westwards. Any further mobilized German unit in the east
should therefore go against Russia. I don’t expect to be able to get to Berlin – primarily by lack of OP.

The plan for the Serbs is to try and stay alive.

I expect France to be hit hard as I have teased Ulver quite a bit for lack of offensive spirit. Therefore I deploy all 3 British infantry corps in England at start. Britain will ship most of their IP early to France to buy additional arms and later to Russia to buy entrenchments. The Brits is going to be the “reserve guard”.

France is deploying very defensively with mobile reserves. I am trying to find a way to get the poor bastards to save. They need to get away from that murderous German artillery and have reserves to plug holes and make counterattacks. Let's see how this will be.

Strategy phase August 1914

Germany declares war on Belgium and Luxembourg. Nothing new here.

Germany sails in force both into the north sea and north Atlantic. The "Invincible" with orders to patrol the north Atlantic stupidly decides to exchange artillery duel with the vastly superior Hochseeflotte with a predictable result and is gone. As is later discovered this must be evil German propaganda as Invincible must have hit a German Bermuda triangle because it was neither reported sunk, nor found anywhere nor did this have any impact on British morale. It’s just gone ?

The two main fleets meet with a draw 13 hits to RN and 10 hits to HSF. But BEF can not cross the North Sea !!! At least Germany can not execute amphibious invasions in the North Sea with their
transports as well. Yeah yeah keep talking about amphibious invasions in France Ulver. You dreamed about a 1914 Sea Lion [:-]

August 1914 impulse 4

Big Bertha is blasting big holes in the fortresses of Liege. Verdun is being hit with aerial recce which hurts. Interesting enough no ground combats ???

August 1914 impulse 3

Liege is taken by storm and the Belgian army has literally ceased to exist. Some Russian probing attacks on the AH defenses in Galicia is made. Still no attacks on France ?

August 1914 impulse 2

Finally the Kaiser have had enough. Frontal assaults across the thinly held French border succeeds and German troops enter Bruxelles. France still holds the two forest hexes north of Verdun.

Russia continues Attrition combat in Galicia but more important also in Prussia. Germany has adopted a 1 corps defense in Thorn and Königsberg. It takes time to reduce the corps not to say OP.

Interesting strategy.

August 1914 impulse 1

Russia takes Königsberg and Thorn is held by a corps with 4 SP left. Germany takes Lille and penetrates the second line of defense in France.

Strategy phase September 1914

Losses:

CP 648.000
Entente 819.000

Blast: Italy very much appreciates overtures by CP [:@]

The best parts of the French fleet is going for the North Atlantic and the German BC there. I thought about going to the North Sea but the prospect of meeting HSF with France already hurt on morale was perhaps not a bright idea. Later I realized this was a mistake, not so much the deployment to the Atlantic but I should have committed enough to get that 3 to 1 ratio to get control of North Atlantic in order to ship BEF to France. They would not have any rail move
until November but I should have taken the first opportunity. Now I am screwed if I can’t get BEF to France in November.

I made a further mistake with France being too stubborn of giving ground. With an initial successful defensive setup conserving French power and being given several impulses breathing space I should with hindsight on lack of BEF have retreated sooner rather than later.

Germany have lost approximately the same amount of SP as France but that is including battles in the east. I know for certain that initially 3 corps was deployed in Wilhelmshaven and most German barrages have been used. This is going to be tricky.

Hmm AH air is being deployed on the western front because of presence of AH artillery there – clever.

Oh dear the AH fleet joins the carnage split up between the eastern and western Mediterranean. Poor King George gets no less than 21 hits but its still afloat in excellence condition ([X(])but may not see any action for a couple of turns.

As if this was not enough SUBS begins to raid shipping in north Atlantic.

The French fleet finds BC Blücher ans punishes her.

This turn it is primarily cruiser action in the north sea. Guess endurance for our dreadnoughts is down.

Russia controls the Baltic else everything is contested.

No control of North Sea or Atlantic. Serves me right. I stupidly committed just what i thought was enough to get control of North Atlantic but i proved wrong. Just move in the whole shebang next turn.

September 1914 impulse 3

Arras, Dijon and Dunkirk taken by Germany. Britain takes Basra. French artillery reserve released and first counterattack by France successful [:)]

September 1914 impulse 2

Russia takes Thorn and Danzig. New French counterattack against Dijon forces German troops in south temporary on the defensive.

September 1914 impulse 1

Russia taken Posen. Severe German conutercounterattack near Dijon proves i am taken serious. France tries counterattack toward arras cutting off a German corps but is checked.

Strategy phase November 1914

Losses:

CP 1.260.000
Entente 1.422.000

The devastated King George finds 4 German cruisers in the North Sea and sinks one of them. But oh dear it would seem that König together with 4 destroyers finds King George. This will probably sink her.

The French fleet punishes several destroyers in the Atlantic and afterwards König. One German destroyer should be going down in the Atlantic and another in the North sea.

BLAST again no control of the Atlantic !!!

I am dying in France !!!!!!
