Strategic movement

Post by StkNRdr »

First let me say that I think this game is great and really enjoy playing it. Maybe someone can explain the logic behind this issue.

It is understandable that if you designate a unit to move several hexes by strategic movement, say from Brest to southern France into a hex that comes under attack that turn, that the unit will not make it to that hex. It does not make sense to me that the unit doesn't even leave Brest. It seems that the unit should make it most of the way there, even if it is 2 hexes short of the desired destination. For the unit to just sit, unmoved from Brest for what could be a month seems unrealistic.

Well I can see you point but if one wants to fudge a reason, I would guess that they recieved a report of the attack and cancelled the trip....[;)]    Seiously though, that might not be a bad idea.....
