Picked up a copy and love it!

I finally got a copy of CaW at the Heat of Battle convention this past weekend. I am loving it, its a great game! So far I have completed all the tutorials and been playing the cora sea scenario, played that one about 3 times, will play it again. The Japs get lucky sometimes [;)]

Yeah I fully agree and for me at the start, I had to get used to the concept.
 
But if I had bought it fresh with the 1.01 patch immediately available for download, I'd have loved it even more right off. There is much more of the unknown between replays of scens now and the fact that the spotting accuracy has been fixed too, adds much to FOW. No longer will a TF with 6 ships now always be spotted for example as 2-2-2 (carriers-cruisers-destroyers). Depending on the skills of the spotter it may change to 1-4-1 or 0-1-5 etc., between spotting attempts - and most significantly even now show as 0-0-2 - ie: totally wrong.
 
Players now have to out-guess more fully where the enemy will maneuver during the nights and keep mental or even written notes of where sightings have turned out to be targets of interest during the day, as TF's move, disappear and reveal themselves en route to their chosen strategies.

Yeah I have lost everytime so far, played coral sea about 4 times, not even close Japs had like 600 to over 750 to my lowsey 30 to 60 [:D]

Try moving your TGs quickly West and try to hide under cloud cover; if the IJN/AI TGs follow, they might get caught out in the open and be subjected to land-based Allied air.
