U-boats and French ports

Commander – Europe at War Gold is the first in a series of high level turn based strategy games. The first game spans WW2, allowing players to control the axis or allied forces through the entire war in the European Theatre.

U-boats and French ports

Why can I not use the ports on the French coast for my U-boat bases after knocking France out? I must be missing something.

You can use them to rebuild and repair - you just can't put brand new units there.
