FoF installation problems

Post by marecone »

Did and still do beta testing for FoF. Game is installed on my pc and working nice. I got lap top and wanted to play there. This is what happened:
Here goes. My lap top is in Zagreb but I remember what I did because I did it 10 times at least .
Ok.
1. Bought the game and installed it on my pc in Cazma
2. Updated with patches and everything was and is ok
3. Got new lap top as my weding gift
4. Copied whole game (not install but whole installed game) to my lap top
5. It said wrong serial number
6. Got pissed
7. Uninstalled it
8. Did copy install from my pc to lap top and entered first serial
9. It said wrong again
10. Uninstalled it and installed it again
11. Entered another serial and again got same message
12. Uninstalled all and downloaded new install (full) from fttp and again got wrong serial
13. Tried that with both serial numbers I have

Mess, I tell you. Please help me [&o]

Thank you in advance

I can't tell by your "installed it again" step whether you actually installed it on your laptop or not.  Copying the installed game from your computer will not work as the game will see that as an attempt to bypass copy protection.

Yap, I did copy installed game first. I am sure that is the problem. Problem is probably in serial key. Erik gave me some suggestions but my lap top is in other place and will be able to try in few days.
If that fails (hope not), we will talk again [:D].

Thanks[&o]

Try the regedit idea that Erik suggested. Might work. Try running a search of your whole disk drive for anything that is FoF related. Might be something there as well. Cheers.
