different 1941 (looking at ...)

Commander – Europe at War Gold is the first in a series of high level turn based strategy games. The first game spans WW2, allowing players to control the axis or allied forces through the entire war in the European Theatre.

different 1941 (looking at ...)

There's a comparison between the 1939 scenario played until july 1941 and the supplied 1941 scenario (june start).

played scenario resource 1939-41

two years of research makes the difference..

FORCES

less corps in the played scenario but better equipped.

I know that research is matter of personal goal, but I think the some more levels in the 1941 reflects two years of hard work (IMHO)

Seems you spent every penny on research and did not have enough for buying units then [;)]
We do not want to restrict the player here, investing all your money in tech will mean you get more tech than history provided but at the expense of having less units [:)]

yes in fact all effort in research mean less money for other.
Two turns later I have conducted an attack with my armour against a lonely russian tanks getting a 30:3 odd in a clear terrain, it took only one blow....sometimes research pay (don't know if later....).

Ok, this is just one of million roads that lead to defeating the AI. Was this on normal difficulty, I suggest you put the difficulty up a notch at leist.  [;)]

Just noticed the Panther tank pic used in game : the gun is way too short ...
Look at this (from achtungpanzer.com)

The format of the unit could not be made wider or else the unit grapchics would intrude into the emblems and section where you show the image of the leaders of the unit, so it was a design decision. We could have made them smaller to fit the wider units, but choose to use big units [:)]

Maybe we could have painted a symbol at the gun of the tank to show it has been shortened.

Too bad you had to ruin what else was an excellent model, but no big deal.
Bah, anyway there was no Panther before '43 neither, we'll assume this the PzKw"4.5" with a short 75L38 borrowed to the Allies ... [:D]

But in the game you can get a Panther before that if you invest heavily in research. That's the fun with the game, that any realistic what-ifs can happen in game.

True. You can get a Panther but you'll be sending bi-planes up against Spitfires and your submarines might as well carry coffins. [:)]
