Agordat - Armored Action in Africa 41

Post by Redleg »

Sergio Castaldi has been hard at work for several weeks developing an exciting armored battle between British and Italian forces.

His attention to detail will be immediately evident when you first see the map. The mere sight of this map made be want to see more.

Sergio doesn't speak English and I don't speak Italian but we do communicate through SPWAW scenarios. And he is fluent in the universal language of SPWAW-ese.

He has graciously consented to post this exciting scenario as one of the Dirty Dozen for the next go around. Don't miss it if you like large tank battles.

Way to go, Sergio!

You got my cable IP address? Last time we corresponded I think I was with old AgriValley - they are long gone now. I have Charter Cable and Core.comm for backup. When did you send the material?

Is this Italian to English? I can also do French, Spanish, German and Portugese. Italain isn't bad, German is OK, French actually seems to come out best - haven't tested Portugese yet, where would I use it? Spanish probably also works all right, but haven't had the chance to use it.

...John, i can make the translation of the battle text.
But the designer should be aware and agree, of course.

The "Adordat" scenario in Africa is nearly complete. As you can tell, there was a bit of a delay getting a translation of the text file for us English-speakers. Thanks to Resisti and Bing, that is being taken care of. Finished product will be posted to the Dirty Dozen and perhaps a preview posted here if Zingales gives the ok.

Redleg, I really am enjoying this scenario, but one thing bugs me so far (~6 turns in) why did the author not include trucks to move artilery etc.....even the Italians had trucks. I really would have loved to move the art back. Tell author he did a beautiful job on the map and should send in for the map contest.:)

I also think the map is very good.

My assumption was that since it is a historical scenario, that there were no trucks in the area and that the guns had to fight in place. I may be wrong, though.
