Sudg DEMO, ver. 1.2
Does this 1.2 mean the new patch from andrew has been completed? Or is it a random figure?

If not, will patch 1.2 for the complete version be ready soon?

Thanks

...I'm impressed. Thanks for making this tease, as this is a new world (forgive the pun) for me. A nice change of pace from the standard wargame genre. I'm putting SU on my "to buy" list.

Always nice to expand ones horizons. Anyways, space warfare is just traditional naval warfare dressed up with a few sparklers for effect :)

One area that wargames seem to be lacking is in good old naval warfare games. Of course, I intend on changing that sometime in the future. Stay tuned.

Hi,

I played the demo, and really liked it.

however, its to short for me to get a feel of the game,
enough to let me know if i would want to buy it.

Also, having the game pause, everytime a new research project comes up, is annoying...

Could you add a option to allow me to turn off this option, if i so choose.

...

Basicly a option, that you can turn on or off, the game pausing each time a new research is ready to start.

Sometimes i'm not ready to start researching, or have no need to at that moment in time,...

I would not mind the button flashing, but having it pause the game, and FORCEing me to answer it... doesn't seem right.

same when a scout captain, needs orders, just have him wait automaticly, where he is, while i'm doing something else.

You might change your opinion about this as you play the game a little more. See research is one of the most important aspect of the game. You want to be researching new technology all the time and as fast as you can. Obsolete technology will have you killed in no time. So you eventually get used to the research window popping up and you'll even find it useful.

And well time is an important part of the game, especially since every second represents a month in the game (5x speed). You wouldn't want to have a ship and crew of yours wait for months even years without a mission... waste of ressources.

It's worth it, try thoroughly then let us know.

This somewhat reminds me of Railroad tycoon,

and how the menu's pop up to ask you something,

or show you some information, but it would pause the entire game.

however, it had a option, to allow the game to continue, as you where in the menu's.

and a option, to have the menus go away after a bit.

I loved that.

...

madmax88,

I appreciate your reply,

All I am asking for is a toggle, a on/off switch, or a button, a option basicly to choose, if I wanted to have it force me to give attention to a certain task that has come up.

...

Here is an example.

Lets say i'm playing age of empires.

I tell a peon/worker to mine gold.

As he is mine-ing, I then give attention and focus to the war on the battle front.

ok, some times goes by and the peon, has depleated the gold.

Instead of FORCE-ing me to give him a new task.

Just simply have him go idle, and give me some sort of message that he has become idle, added that the gold mine is exhausted.

Sometimes the task at hand is more important then having to switch focus, to the peon.

hmm,

i'll try to put it in, a differnt set of words.

...

Being able to just pause the game, and set all your options is nice.

but it makes the game really ez, which is fine if your starting, or not very good at the game... or even if you like perfection.

However, I like the challenge of having problems appear in real time, and trying to responed to the problems in real time.

If i'm to slow to start the next research, thats my own fault.

which adds a layer of dificulty.

...

I like the idea of that next level of diffculty, as a option.

I do not see how this would be any different then changing the pirates option.

Well we'll let andrew answer that one then, it can certainly be implemented. Just depends how the game was programmed and how much of a major change that would be.
