yes, now its just time meet the wall of artillery and machine gun fire on the shoreline of noumea

youre such a disasterous air commander though, i gotta say haha, it really isnt worth it to hit 1 or 2 AP's at the cost of long term CAP effectiveness...

RE: Noumea under Siege!

Post by TeK »

also, here are the rules we're playing by...

PT Boat TF may have a max of 6 ships in it

ASW TFs cannot exceed 10 ships

No landing troops on non-base hexes

No more than 200 bombers and 250 aircraft total allowed on airbases

Boeing aircraft are not allowed to bomb naval targets at any lower than 4,000 feet (cute eh?)

No sub invasions

Play a "gentleman's game". If you think it might be gamey, it probably is, so don't do it

yea basically all i did was cancel the buna landings, loaded some troops at truk, then used the buna and truk transports to go directly for noumea...hopelessly ambitious? only time will tell....

that was cute,

had some more intense air battles at noumea, 23 zeros scrambled but 2 1000lb bombs from 3 b-17's got in and hit shokaku, she's ok, light damage but ill need to patch her up...the skipper of the ship has been put before a firing squad for incompetence, failure to evade a mere 3 of the enemies bombers

yes i know how insane this whole expedition is...

that was weird, good thing none of my ships were hit, has anyone else found this bug yet?....

i noticed my carrier zeros werent scrambling, that was rather odd, i checked them when the battle phase was over and their altitude was set to 20,000 feet and they were set to full escort[&:] i had them set to 10,000 feet and full cap before i gave marky my turn
