RE: Super Six Week One
Yeah [:)]I like the numbers...pretty darn close to 11 man American football.
I'm using the Fun and Gun books except for Phoenix. My alter ego is the coach of Phoenix via my playbook (using the original plays NOT my plays). I don't own the team or manage the team nor do I coach them. I supply the book of selected plays and watch. Great fun.
The receiving average numbers are a little high but every team gains from it so it is a wash. If it was just one team or the teams I watch...that would be troublsome. All I ask for in a game like this and FPS...give me a solid physics based sim. Fortunately all the teams play in the same universe so I can live different non NFL numbers.
I don't need or expect a stat sim just a game engine and sim with good physics.
MAX is it!

RE: Super Six Week One
I plan, slowly over time, to introduce playbooks with my plays for every coach. But, first I want a good sample of the universe via the given book Fun and Gun.
Hopefully, I can slowly sculpt the engine through playbooks and plays to produces slighlty better numbers...BUT who wants the NFL?
I get that in other ways.

Super Six League: Mid-Season News Conference
Super Six 2007 Mid-Season News
Tuesday - L.A. Dons Press Conference
The owner of the Dons, Gordon Hill, announced the immediate dismissal of head coach Sam Pryce. Joe Cooper, the current OC, will be promoted to interim head coach for the final three games. “More is expected from this franchise,” said Hill “and I felt a change needed to be made now in order to begin the process of finding the best head coaching candidate for next season,” concluded Hill.
“Of course I’m disappointed,” remark Pryce “but I’m not the first coach to be fired nor will I be the last.”
“Mr. Hill will begin to compile a list of potential candidates and start the interviewing process this week,” announced DOO Sarah Gooden “however, he will not make a selection until after the Cup Championship game.”
Also in the news, wide receiver Donald Sharay of the Philadelphia Lawmen filed a lawsuit against the league claiming he should be paid as a starter because he had been the starter in the first game of the season prior to his season ending injury, and therefore, asserts “it is reasonable to assume I would have continued to start had I not been hurt,” stated Sharay at a press conference.” “My client expects to be compensated as a starter for the final five games plus any playoff appearances,” said Roman Shelifield, Sharay’s attorney.
Stay tuned…
Gordon Hill is now accepting applications for a Head Coach of the Los Angeles Dons. The best canidate will submit his or her coaching book based on the ORIGINAL plays. Only the original 11 man plays can be in the book (or see below). The canidate hired for the job will have his book used for the Dons. GM/Draft duties will be handled by Mr. Hill or this case the CPU and his Team Profile.
Potential coaches send books named 11NAMEdef, i.e., 11Smith43 and a description of ones basic coaching philosphy to gjmcgram@wmconnect.com
A zipped folder including ones own formations, plays and a play book can be submitted with these restrictions.
Only five offensive and defensive formations can be used and only five plays from each formation can be used. For a total of 25 offensive plays and 25 defensive plays, there can be less of course but at least one run and pass play for any formation. Plays are 11 man. All special teams plays MUST BE THE DEFAULT ORIGINAL plays.

“It is disappointing the two largest markets are our two worst teams,” said Commissioner Venza, “but we are pleased with overall attendance and the JTTV ratings are satisfactory for a new professional league.”
“We faced NCAA football head up on Saturdays and NFL Sundays pushed our post game news reports to the back page; however, we are built to survive a slow start,” responded a jovial Jackson Thornton at the post season press conference.
Also interesting, the most expensive team, Los Angeles, finished dead last although earned better attendance than 5-1 Chicago. Super Six officials are concerned that the lowest attended team, Chicago, may also host the Cup Championship. “Our players care. That’s what matters and we want this Cup,” said Coach Wayne Shroeder, “I wouldn’t underestimate this team and our growing fan base.”
“We’ll be fine. There are a lot of entertainment choices in Chicago. Patience and proper expectations are paramount to building a fan base here in Chicago,” said Owner Stephen Weil, “Right now, I want the CUP I Championship.”
