ANd I quote: 'If Hetzer suffers a whole lotta pain while dying during battle that will not be a bad thing. As he has caused immeasurable suffering so far in his career.'

Rosary, am shocked and hurt and saddened by your comment :(

I measure the suffering that I cause very very carefully indeed :p

Hrm. can you imagine I had actually pitty on him and ejected?

I mean, the battle *was* fun... all three of my titans lying somewhere, and only his one having to run around and kicking them to death because of having run out of ammo...

But then he began to cry that he had to work, and so I ejected for him. ;)

My one remaining machine gun *would* have got you in the end. ;)

Oh well. I'm with Rosary considering Hetz' suffering.
Anyone want to team with me against him? ;)

I'll team with him. It seems like a good way to get some cheap wins :p

I distinctly remeber him saying "Oh, I wish I had the AI as a partner instead" one day.

His wish shall be our command. :D

Wed night whupping

Post by GROND »

Unfortunately is was your gentle author who was the whuppee :)

Dueled Rosary with the only stock titan that I hadn't removed from my database. Why I missed it I don't know but his BallBreaker (5lrm6/2plasma) anililated my Anililator. We ended the game in a race to see who could shut down from heat 1st and I won :) :(

I did think I was in bad shape but Hetzer was kind enough to fall and finish himself off. I think only one or two more successful hits and I would have be a goner.

Bad Manners

Post by GROND »

I have noticed an unfortunate trend in the conduct of our latest crop of newcomers to the forum and netplay.

Will You Guys Kindly Stop Fighting Back! Is it too much to ask that you have the common decency to roll over and die like you're supposed to? Show some respect here, this trying to win stuff is unbecoming :(

Let me give you an example: I kindly take time out of my busy schedule to give Steel a game and how does he show his gratitude? Does he overheat himself? Does he try stupid tactics? Noooooooooooooo, he out guesses me, knocks me down, does called shots when I'm prone and helpless. I mean, a rookie, thinking? Is nothing Sacred? It took a called head shot at far lower odds than I like to get me out of that mess (you didn't really think that I had lost did you?) :p (carefully engraves "Steel" into a small brass nameplate and screws it onto mantelpiece below Steel's head).

But it's the principle of the thing.........you guys have to start treating us with the respect that we deserve.......(long pause while author mulls that statement over).......oh........wait..........you were treating me with the respect that I deserve, weren't you?............nevermind...(author walks, dejectedly, back into his lair).

You can walk? In my mind I always pictured you slithering around and leaving a slime trail from your pseudopod. I stand corrected.

He can walk.

It's just the standing up he has problems with, if the slapstick behaviour of his titans is any indication.

Oh well, paid enough respect with that statment? ;)

(Quickly tucks tentacles behind back and pulls cap down lower over third eye)

Rosary! How many times have I told you not to mention that in front of the children! (stern look accompanied by much finger waggling)

And as for you Karacan.............(long, ominous pause) my tourney team is built and waiting. To quote the immortal PC "You Gonna Die, Boy".

A combat in the antipodes. Steel's Bad Omen faced my Headhunter and then needed a taxi to go home.
An almost plain dungeon, with some hills at center, was the scenario for this battle. I took the hills and aimed Steel's leg and torso while he was trying to approach dodging. I got warm and he finally managed to climb the hills. He charged, we went down and his armor started to get yellow and... left torso red? Do someone remember Bad Omen had engine on the left torso? Some called shots and Steel is now searching that taxi...:D

Az and Steel learned a valuable lesson tonight (4/26/02) about the value of teamwork and what happens if you don't combine fire in team games. A lesson that I was only too happy to teach them :) Their Mjolnir and Immolator should have made my PillagerB (allright, hands up the people who creep into my computer at night to set the stock titans back to "public") and Crumbler (AI) very unhappy but instead I got to lay back and watch my partner do all my work for me, life is good :)

My Widowmaker (3plasma/4pulse) beat Steel's Howler(tesla/2clgs/LL/3SLs) in polar. I was prone and hurting when a pulse laser took out his CT.

Dear Steel,

While I respect you immensely and hold you in the greatest esteem will you please stop making the poor feeble old man work so hard. This sweating blood stuff is making doing laundry like way too ugly :)

PS: (bloods for drinking not sweating)

My LegBreaker (3gauss/2pulse) beat Rosary's Mugger in the savanah last night. The map had the biggest pool of quicksand (11 hexes) that I've ever seen :) Unfortunately, try as I might, I couldn't make him fall into it :( ah well, there's always tomorrow:)

As for you Firestorm, please try and remember that blood was the original protein drink :) and that not liking sunlight or mirrors is merely a lifestyle choice and not an occupational hazard :p

Hey!!! It warn't my Mugger. Twas yourn.
Having to use your craparse designs makes the loss easier to choke on Mr. Hetz. And that horde of Quicksand saved your arse by giving you the range advantage. Without it, we both know that molten chunks of flaming steel would have been torn from your Legbreaker at a much more brisk pace.

Rosary, since we've started keeping score again I am 15/1/5. Of those 15 wins 4 have come against you. Of those 5 losses 4 have come against you. If either of us Has To hate the other............(long reflective pause whilst the author contemplates something nice in boiling lead).......who do you has the greater cause? Anyway, quit yer bitchin, the next game it's your turn to win :p
