Tactical Play

Post by George40 »

Having spent a lot of time over the last few evenings with the updated FL I am struck by one observation. With the expanded maps and Alfred's improved AI I probably spend most of my playing time either setting up for battles that don't happen (AI retreats) or watching Alfred retreat from a brief clash.

I did manage to get into a couple of good fights and they were as fun as ever and I still love the period and lots of things about the game. However, for me I am just spending way too much time watching Alfred march his guys around. I am going to play something else for a bit and check back in on this title after the next patch or two.

Any mechanic that could quickly end battles that are essentially over would help speed things along and be great.
