Digital Library with PDFs of US Army studies and articles (now) open to the public. You can use the advanced search feature to grab articles out of whatever time period you like.....there are some, for instance, on how the US could emulate the Soviet use of CRPs and FSEs....and others on the feasibility of air assault divisions....Soviet defensive tactics......stuff like that.

Or, if you don't want to read on Cold War era stuff, they even have historical articles on the Balkans Wars of 1911-12, etc...
