Blitzkrieg site - scenarios

Post by ab5000 »

Has anyone used any of the scenarios on http://www.theblitz.org/scenarios ?

Can I move them into the Matrix JTCS?

You should not have a problem using them.

Basically just unzip the files into the proper game folder.

For example,

If you are downloading a West Front scenario, unzip the files into the West Front folder.

I'm still waiting for the PO to deliver my copies of JTCS[:@], so I haven't had a chance to try some of these again...BUT

I do remember one that I DL'd from the Blitz back when WF was running on my ME machine. It was a hypo-scenario involving a German invasion of the US. I don't remember the name of the scenario, but the files were named "Washington". Damn thing would crach about the 4-5th turn (German) while trying to move landing craft ashore.

Does anybody remember this one?

I plan on DL'ng a fresh copy once I have JTCS installed and patched and see if it happens again. (Hope not, it was a fun little battle.)

The AI has a problem in dealing with amphibious assaults.

The AI has a problem in dealing with amphibious assaults.

Is this something that will be addressed in the future, or is it so deeply encoded in the AI's DNA that it is proof that machines will indeed rule us all one day?

Still no JTCS in todays mail. [:@]

Eventually, yes. Still trying to determine what the cause is, hopefully a remedy will be forthcoming.

Is this only this scenario which is crashing with amphibious assaults ?
(for instance "i am playing" overlord IA vs IA, still not landing craft for now, but they are coming in some turns)

No, it seems to be a random occurance with any amphibious scenarios when the AI is playing the assaulting side.

Ok I'm being very dense, but I couldn't find the download link for the scenarios on http://www.theblitz.org/scenarios

Please help an old guy find the link. Hehehe

Update: Ah, not all scenarios have a DL link. Thanks anyway!

Thanks Jason! I'm amazed at how many scenarios have gone MIA on that site.

Some scenarios are stock or were included on a Blitzkrieg expansion CD and not available for download.
