more artillery damaged / repair confusion

Post by freeboy »

ok.. so the situation is as the cp, I open up the strategic screen it shows me that I have some artillery for Austria, BUT when I attempt to do a refit nothing, just shows a damadged art piece.. I am confused.. is this a bug or am I loosing my mind trying to make sence of this[:-]

Sorry the Matrix sencer did not like all the detail from the grean terrain! so this is ugly but note the avaoilable art and that the unit is damaged.. should it be able to be refited? Is this a case where It may be being refited due to several levels of damage? The unit is not giving me the option to refit it???

You need 1 arm to repair 1 damage to your artillery.

In your current situation you have no more arms for this turn.

Next turn refit your artillery first. It should show up with an option to reinforce.

Also, if the unit has more than one damage point, it will need more than one refit to see any results.

I.e. you won't see the refitting until you have brought it all the way up to undamaged. The computer will know, however, that you did some refitting.

Correct?
Any relationship between what I say and reality is purely coincidental.

If you have auto-refits turned on you probably won't have any points to do refitting of artillery at all.

version 1.2 clears up the confusion with Damaged artillery I hope.

The number in the upper right corner of the artillery shows the current number of remaining damage.

No it doesn't - it shows the strength of theartilery -the fact that it is damaged is indicated by the D, but how much damage is not indicated anywhere on it at all.

Yes... and no...

Notice when you tech up.. to level 4 for example... the 3 will turn into a 4. So.. it is a representation of both strength and tech level.
