Fires?????

I know they spread and cause smoke but what about effecting morale and/or unit losses.

Like building or jungle hexes on fire with units in them and you don't move them.[&:]

I have found that units in a burning hex are often harder to rally ...at least this has been my experience.

Back in the old days a unit that remained in a burning hex would go into permanent 'retreat' mode and then start losing men.

I haven't had this happen to any of my units when playing Enhanced DVRN, but I recommend not loitering any of your units in burning hexes if at all possible.

Units in a "fire" hex take extra Suppression during the turn; if not Rallied and moved, they accrue a hefty Suppression hit at the end of the turn, and will eventually become Routed. However, the unit tends to not retreat from the hex, which makes the whole process that much harder.
