Endzone Art Not Showing Up
Have the new version 2, but my endzone art is not showing in game. Did the file names change? Anyone else have this problem? How can I get them to display in game?
RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
The endzone size is slightly different for MF2, but in testing the old endzone art still shows up. Also the game no longer needs snow and rain art, the game handles that. Check out the more screen shots thread, all the screen shots I posted there are using MF2.

RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
Can't figure this out. My endzones are named the same, are in the right places, but won't show up in game. In fact, no endzones in any league will show up including the default leagues. Just to check I replaced the default endzone in the models/fields file with one of my endzones and named it the same as default and it showed up. But no endzones in the team files show up. All other graphics work fine. I wish I could get these to work.
RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
Im probably working from a different build but they should work. Quick check, are these for a custom league, are the field art files in the team folder, not in the home or away folder, did you save them as BMP files?

RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
Did you say that you tried a game with the stock league teams? Did you see the field art then?
Just reread your posts and see that you did. Im stumped they should be working.
One more question, does your video card support shading and did you install the most recent DirectX? MF2 uses a new grahic engine and requires the lates DirectX version.

Yes I tried the stock teams and there was no endzone art either. I did install the latest direct X, but I don't know if my graphics card supports shading. How do I find out if it supports shading, and if not would that affect the field art?
RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
What is your graphics card, David will probably have to jump into this, I ended up upgrading to a GeForce 7600GT card.
RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
Hate to ask another stupid question, did the default league that you checked have field art, not all the default leagues/teams have field art, like the US league.

RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
Please post a copy of your DX Diagnostic file. That will tell me if your card supports shaders. The instructions to do that are here; http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1077033
Shaders would probably not make a difference here as you can run the game without shaders in use, and the endzone artwork will still show up.
It's possible it's a memory problem (not enough video memory) and the DXDiag file will tell me that too.
Does any of the centre field art show up? Most of the stock teams have some form of centre field artwork.
thanks
David

Here's my DXDiag file attached. I do get grass, but I get no endzone art, no center field art and no yard number art for any leagues.
Thanks for your assistance. This is a fantastic game.

Hi.
I took a look at the diagnostic file you sent, and I suspect it's your graphics card. From the information on the Intel site, the 82915G is a mobile card designed for notebook computers. It's sharing memory with your operating system. My guess is that some stadiums details (like fans) are not displaying properly either. This would be most noticeable in a high resolution stadium like 'Eastern Stadium'.
What resolution do you play the game in? I noticed you run your desktop at 1152 x 864. That's quite high (at least for me anyway). If you try running the game at a lower resolution, say 1024*768 or even 800*600, it may free up enough memory to load those textures. It's something to try at any rate.
thanks
David

RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
So far, I have no problem with fans showing up. Just the field art. I tried your suggestion to run in a lower resolution but with no success. Still no field art.
Thanks for your assitance.

RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
hi
I'm assuming that earlier versions worked okay?
I still think it may be the graphics card but the field numbers not showing up is very strange. The technique for loading and displaying the field numbers hasn't changed from earlier versions. So if it worked on then, it should be working here. The major difference is of course that earlier versions were DirectX8 based and this version is DirectX9 based.
thanks

I'm experiencing the same problem. No endzones, no field art, no chalk lines or numbers and it's always raining in my league games. With Quick Play I can control the weather but the teams are still playing on an unmarked field. I'll try setting my screen size to 800*600 and see if that helps.

Thanks. I'm not sure if the graphics card is the problem, but at the moment, it's the best lead.

RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
Yes. Earlier versions worked fine.
Also, as I mentioned, I replaced the default endzone with one of my endzone art in the models/field folder and renamed it T4 and my endzone art showed up in game. I did this just to see if I could get one of my custom endzones to show up as the default. It did. But, I still get no yard numbers or midfield art.
Checked and it rains in all my regular season games as well.
Thanks for looking into this.

RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up
David, here is my DXDiag file. Here is what I got from fooling around with the settings earlier. I set the screen to 800*600/16, I set the shadows to the Basic setting and I set the player detail to normal. When I ran a league it was still raining but I had my field art. The game drags and sometimes stalls at the initial kickoff when it's raining. When I can adjust the weather using the Quick Play option, it runs beautifully on clear days, drags and stalls on rainy days, stalls on snowy days.
