Agreed.  Compared to where we were, this game has grown by leaps and bounds.  Once the sime engine matches the game engine, I feel I can finally put FBPro 98 out of its misery.  Great job, David!

I especially like the graphics. To see their uniforms get muddy and to watch their breath on a cold day is simply awesome.

Started a small NFL league with 17 teams (will add two more next season).

The things that made me the most happy were the way the game keeps track of the W/L records throughout the league each year, and stores them, so you don't have to record them on your own. I also like the defunct team list (can we take teams out of the league this year david?), and the game also keeps track of past champions.

The graphics are amazing. It's like going from Madden 64-like graphics all the way to Madden 2003-2004. Fields look awesome, and I like how it shows the player pictures and stats like Madden does.

I also like the rather large selection of stock playbooks!

Heck, I love this version all together!

Hi.

I'm glad you're happy with the new version.

I'll be posting an update shortly that corrects a few of the minor things mentioned thus far.

thanks

Ah not really happy. the players studder at the line. Also when try to make a league it wont go thru I mean it says it wont work and to push F-9 to make it work but it doesnt and I have to exit the game. (when I try to save it and it does NOT save it)
My Pc is a HP. AMD Athlon 2.16 Hrd Drive has over 60g. Ram is 960. and windows XP.
also the you start a game and go to the menu board (Ameican/ kickoff from/ 40 sec clock and others it doesnt show which on each is for) in other words
I have to guess at each one.

Hi.
the players studder at the line.

Can you explain that. I don't understand what you mean.
Also when try to make a league it wont go thru I mean it says it wont work and to push F-9 to make it work but it doesnt and I have to exit the game. (when I try to save it and it does NOT save it)

I've not seen any other reports about this problem. Can you give me more specifics. How are you trying to make the league, and what settings are you using? If you're being prompted with an "F9 To Continue Screen", there is a message that comes along with that. What is that message?
also the you start a game and go to the menu board (Ameican/ kickoff from/ 40 sec clock and others it doesnt show which on each is for) in other words I have to guess at each one.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean there. Are you saying you don't know what the rules mean?

thanks
David

Hmm okay.. well I didn't do much to help.. but happy that you have the game working.

Maximum-Football reads and writes a considerable amount of data to the disk. Virus scanners sometimes like to stick their nose into that process. That may slow things down and could explain what you were seeing.

thanks

Quick Depth Chart question, when I try to set the DC for my TE's the only option available is RBs and WRs. I do have 4 TEs on the roster

David,
I just checked one of the stock leagues that was reset, and rosters generated and the same thing. The TEs aren't an option when trying to set the TE depth chart.

I do not understand your problem, too. Here is a screenshot from a standart league. The AI had no problems no fill the TE slots.

Could you tell me which Team Profile do you use ?

Well if you look at the available players in the bottom portion there are no TE's. Now perhaps on the roster you did the screenshot they only had 2 TEs, but I'm not seeing any of TEs available.

The reason is the draft profile. A 53 men roster has in the most cases only 2 TE`s (of course, you can change it). These TEs are used to filling the SB/TE slot. If one of the TE`s is injuried the game will call an other player. That would be here a RB.

Are your TEs active, if they arent active they wont show as available?

I have tested it using an other team. It is again from the stock league which i had reset during beta. This team has 3 TE and i changed the depth chart. 2 TE´s were thrown out and the other was set as TE1.

Don't see why profile should make a difference, when there is already TE's on the team. Beside a new season has not been started, so you can't import profiles.

Just another note, normally on Saturday's I'm camped out on the couch trying to watch 10 games at a time. Not today, I'm sitting at the computer with just one game on in the background.

Hi.

I took a look at the league you sent me and the TE's are showing up on the available players list. They're a little further down, but they're there. Also, clicking the autofill properly put both two TE's into the slots.

I'm not sure why they're not showing up for you but I did notice that some of the data you imported is not correct. When I loaded the roster, I received two errors because the Junior Team data and the Leagues Played data (both strings) were null in the database. This is likely due to the import not putting any information in those fields.

I have added some additional code to the game so that this doesn't cause a problem with the game, but it could potentially be the reason that your rosters are not loading properly (players missing).
