Post by Moonpie »

What happened to Steel Panthers The Nam? It was supposed to be released about now, yet all the information for it has suddently dissapeared from the board. What gives?

It was cancelled, and rolled into SP Modern, or such was my understanding.

That is correct. You'll have SP Nam and much more. With SPWAW and SPMW (Modern War), you'll have a very complete package of fighting from 1930 into the 21st Century.

Hey Bill! Is there ever going to be a SP on World War 1? I thought I saw somewhere that this was a possibility. Thanks.

I've noticed a few requests for a WW1 version of SPWaW.
Rather then a full re-write, couldn't this be done with modified MOB's? Ok the date wouldn't be right, but you'd be able to get a close enough feel for a WW1 battle.

I would also love to see addition of WW1 units either to SPWaW or by some modification. I remember playing Tanks!
long time a ago and the WW1 scenarios
were different and lots of fun. Of course
not so many AFV:s, but those you did have
rocked :-)

I would love SP WWI. I think it would be a great idea... even if it was going to be a modified set of OOB.

seeing the aircraft would be pretty neat too! Those old Gotha bombers and observation planes! The pusher type of planes too! I'm getting excited just thinking about it!

I think it would really only need to be a modified OOB. No-one would have radios, so that might screw up C/C, but maybe not. Everything else would be almost exactly the same.

I think to get the true WW1 feel you would need new hexes like long trenches with areas of barb wire followed be several hexes of chewed up mud then more barb wire and then the enemies trench lines. It's just something I would need to actually get the WW1 atmosphere going.
