RE: Endzone Art Not Showing Up

Post by David Winter »

Hi bigSmooth.

I'm afraid your situation boils down to a computer that is below the minimum requirements of the game. I've highlighted some items below.

Machine name: COMPUTER
Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Compaq
System Model: Presario 5100US 470019-002
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: Intel Celeron, ~840MHz
Memory: 510MB RAM
Page File: 352MB used, 564MB available
Windows Dir: C:\Windows
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
DX Setup Parameters: Not found
DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode

----
Card name: RADEON 7500 SERIES
Manufacturer: ATI Technologies Inc.
Chip type: RADEON 7500 Series (0x5157)
DAC type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5157&SUBSYS_013B1002&REV_00
Display Memory: 64.0 MB

I'm sorry but there would be little I can do to help here. The game is running slowly on your machine because it doesn't have enough resources or horsepower to keep up. Especially when some of the other game effects (like rain) kick in.

The directx diagnostic also mentions that parts of your DirectX files are not installed properly or missing.

I'm looking at trying to build a settings.ini flag to disable any weather other than clear for league games. This might help a bit in your situation. But for quick play games, you would have to remember to ensure the weather was set to clear day.

Sorry I can't be of more help with you here.

thanks
David

Thanks for the response, I knew I was flying under the radar with my system, but the game has worked fine on my computer up to 2.0. The ini fix for the league games will work fine for me until I upgrade my computer.

Hey guys, I have the same video card as DreamTeams (82915G). By turning the player detail down form high to normal, the field art now shows up for me and the weather issue seems to be fixed as well. Hope this is of some help.

(Edit: I should have been more thorough in my testing. Like paying more attention to where I was playing my league games[8|]. I still get constant rain. The field art issue seem fine though.)

Thanks for your contribution. I was pretty sure it was the graphics card being overwhelmed, but your tests prove it out.

The continual rain problem in league games has been corrected and I've added a flag to the settings.ini file so that people can turn off weather for league games completely if they wish.

BTW, I noticed that was your first post. Welcome.

Thank you
David
