Can't PLAY the game!!!???

I just installed TOAW III on my PC. 2GHz box running Windows XP. I can load the game menu, all the links work except "PLAY". I can load the manual and all of the other links. I also tried to start the game by using the "Quick Start" icon. Neither works.

I get NO error messages.

I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and rebooting after the install. Only the game menu will come up.

You may be having problems with the intro movies. Some system/media player configurations will have that problem. Try renaming the following files in your main TOAW III directory:

Talonsoft.avi
TOAW_Studio.avi
Matrix Games.wmv
TOAD.wmv
TOAW3 Intro.wmv

Let me know if this solves your problem. If it does, then once the program starts, choose from the Windows Menu at the Welcome screen the following option:

View >>> Options >>> Intro Cinematic >>> Do Not Play.

Then, you should be able to rename your files back to the original file names.

Nope... didn't work. Renamed all the files listed and tried. Still nothing.

Funny thing is, I purchased Carriers at War, TOAW III and Harpoon 3. Installed all 3. TOAW III is the ONLY ONE that DOESN'T work! The other 2 worked fine from the first click!

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Download, or boxed? Have you attempted to patch yet? Try downloading the 3.2.29.27 patch, and install that. Let me know if that works.

Ran the patch. Now I get an error that says "Delete your Language.dll file" and the error window title bar indicates "corrupt language.dll"

I checked the folder but there are deutsch, english, espanol, francais and italia.dll files. No file named "language.dll".

nvm... i deleted the language.dll in the windows folder and the game came up!!!
