RHS hex Problems

Post by keeferon01 »

hello all
Been playing Version 7 scen and latest pwhex and noticed a few problems
hex 5297 and 4997 are being used to penetrate coral barriers and ships
are using hex side 2366 to enter Soerabaja.
Please advice.

5297 is in the middle of the Coral Sea and no problem. Are you SURE you are using pwhex 7.797???? There ARE breaks in the coral barriers to the west of this, at 4297, just as you say. That is intentional and follows Cobra's map art. As an Aussie, I am sure Cobra's attention to detail on the Great Barrier Reef is pretty high.

2366 IS Soerabaja. It is properly entered by two different hex sides: NE and SE. Due East is the island of Muldura -
and technically ships sail between Soerabaja and Muldura - but they do so INSIDE hex 2366 in game terms. This is so Muldura acts as an obsticle - which it does IRL big time.

Is Muldura Madoera/Madura?

As I recall, Soerabaja, despite being the major port and naval base, isn't really a deep-water port.

well something is not right then and yes I am using all the latest files, the map art clearly shows coral reefs there and ships are sailing through them right near to Cairns, oh well just adding my 2 cents.
