Create Loaded TFs at Sea at beg. of scenario

Post by Pascal_slith »

Hi all,

how do you created a loaded (with supplies or oil or mixed LCU/supply) TF at sea in the scenario editor? The Pensacola convoy has a few field artillery LCUs and supply at the beginning of the grand campaign, and one of the AOs does too. But I couldn't find a reference in the scenario files to the loading of oil or supply (just the LCUs located in the same hex (100,100) at start).
So much WitP and so little time to play.... :-(

Technically, it cannot be done. It is a bit of a problem. A TF will load at the start - but that isn't the same thing.
A trick once used in CHS was to put the "cargo" at sea - in the hex of the TF - and it will then proceed to load it - otherwise a TF must either start in port - or with no cargo. The exception is the tanker convoy for Kiddo Butai - which begins at sea with full cargo. That is hard code - apparently.
