strategy guide for Harpoon

Post by dogancan »

Hi,

I am planning to buy a book that will introduce me with naval military tactics and basic strategies (and preferably also with platforms, weapons, sensors etc.).

I am planning to buy Harpoon 2 official strategy guide, as it seems the best and the cheapest option to me.

I got two quesitons:
1) can you offer me any other entry level books or sources? [&:]

2) Will there be an official strategy guide for HCCE? [&:]

thanks...

Good choice in the Harpoon 2 Strategy guide.

There are no plans for a HCCE strategy guide though such a beast sure would be nice (any volunteers [;)]?)

One document I like since it isn't too in depth but yet not too light, helps in understanding how many different systems work, Principles of Naval Weapons Systems http://cohomology.princeton.edu/books/P ... ystems.pdf
y some strange twist of fate I have now printed two copies of this (oops!).

Another decent but not so engaging is about aircraft stealth The Radar Game http://cohomology.princeton.edu/books/P ... bility.pdf

For tons of information about particular platforms, try for old versions of Jane's books or the NAVAL INSTITUTE GUIDE TO WORLD NAVAL WEAPONS SYSTEMS used copies.

The Harpoon databases are some pretty good references as well...

Crap, I can't get them today, too many Harpooners after them I guess...

Will track them down somewhere later.

oups! sorry for "rar"ing, but try to empathise. I got a 64kbps connection, because of exceeding the limit; and even one less byte worth for me [:(]

I was wondering if it just me, but now I guess it not. I tried an internet search, but no luck there either.

Keep in mind this is not a Harpoon strategy guide, but it is a really valuable document!

Yes, I got that book along with the H2 guide.

Overall, I think the H2 guide is more useful for learning; especially for H3.

The Battlebook is pretty much a database dumped to the book.
