PDS Too Few Parameters in process players

Post by dcarbo »

Example: In PDS, I
1) load a formation
2) pick After Snap
3) click a receiver

Then I get Too Few Parameters, expected 1. in procedure ProcessPlayers
Press F9

The right click does not de-select the receiver. The only way to get around it is to change to Formation and then click on the field. Then when I go back to the After Snap, the receiver is de-selected.

I can then select a receiver, click add and then draw a route.
However, the right click still does not de-select the receiver; the command slots are empty.

There are other combinations that have similar results, and eventually I get the red cannot continue ESC message. This seems to carry-over; I have to exit the program completely and start over.

It appears that the currencies are all scrambled up and I have no idea why.

hi.

What do you mean by currencies?

load a formation

Are you loading a formation to edit an existing formation, or are you starting a new play?

What formation were you loading?

What league did you select going into the PDS?

The right click does not de-select the receiver. The only way to get around it is to change to Formation and then click on the field.

Right-click is not inteded to deselect a reciever. Right-click stops the process of adding command points to a route, but clicking the field is the correct way to deselect a receiver.

Have you downloaded any 3rd party tools that might be overwriting the maindata.mdb file? Can you email that file to support@wintervalley.com (please zip it first) The only time I've seen anything remotely similar to this was due to downloaded files replacing existing files with out of date versions. I don't know if that's what has happened here though.

thanks
David

Make sure that the team you picked to use in the PDS has a valid playbook already assigned to them.  I have had something similar happen if I start the PDS having choosen a team without a playbook aready assigned to them.

Actually, you shouldn't be able to take a team into the PDS that doesn't have a playbook. I've added some additional checks to ensure you can't do that.

Hello David
I received the file you sent and as I suspected, the maindata.mdb file is very out of date.

Have you updated to version 2.0?
If you are using v2.0, did you install any 3rd party applications that may have replaced it replaced it with an old version?

In any event, installing (or reinstalling) version 2.0 will correct this problem. I would recommend you uninstall whatever existing version you have and ensure that any remaining files and folders are deleted prior to installing v2.0

thanks
David

Glad to hear that was resolved.

You'll probably notice many changes between 2.0 and the version you were using (which I suspect was 1.3)

thanks
