We have to restart our games to use 1.2?

Post by esteban »

I just wanted to confirm whether this was the case or not. In the 1.2 beta on members site thread, a Matrix employee said that it looked like we had to restart our games in order to take advantage of the new patch. However, he kind of couched it in an indefinite manner.

So can we use patch 1.2 features in a game we started using the 1.1 patch?

Yes you have to restart.

I'm continuing a couple of games with 1.1 since we're well into them, but am awaiting the substantive 1.2 before starting any more.

you can have 2 copies of GoA on yuor computer without any problems...even in teh same directory - jsut call them different things - copy your existing one as "GOA old" or somethign similar, then apply the patch to the original - jsut remember which games go with which!! :)

eventually you'll finish all your 1.1 games and can just delete it.
