up to date OOB's?

Post by Eberbach »

what OOB's are everyone using?

where did you download them from?

and what is the general consensus on PBEM games and new OOB's?

just wondering if everyone in PBEM has an original game install or if some people have new OOB's from the Armor Site or what the feeling is on this

Hi!
I have two Spwaw's on my harddrive atm. The other is the regular 7.1 final with the original OOB's and the other is with the H2H-mod. I believe most of the players use the regular OOB's from 7.1.

ok if i have a new american OOB

and I play a PBEM game is this considered cheating or how does that work

because I used a new American OOB that was sent to me for a PBEM but now when i play against my other opponent I get a Security Warning violation about a corrupt OOB file?

I think most people have the 7.1 oobs, Plus the corrected USA engineer OOB that came out at the same time.
I myself and some others I know also have a corrected Bulgaria OOB installed(warhorses)Which also came out along with 7.1
You can find the USA and Bulgaria Fixes at the OOB forum.
If I knew how to attach files i would have the 7.1 oobs plus the two fixes in one file for all to download, but....:(

7.1 is the common standard. FYI there is even a newer updated set that will hopefully be released with the next LV patch. It addresses flamethrowers and has some icon updates, it fixes mine dogs so they are properly classed as snipers.

Gmenfan, unless they are doing something with the code to allow this classification(ie removing the hard code icon association to a single infantry man icon), I wouldn't do that. What will happen is that the unit will say 'min dog', but the icon will be a sniper!! This is hard wired, just like the inf-AT units, and MG's. I tried this when I made the icon for them, and had to class it as something else so it would show the icon correctly. The problem is that it now shows as a destroyed burning icon when destroyed, no way around that, unless a code change.. sorry!:)
