PBEM newbie, no replay

when I load the first file of my German opponent all I see is a bunch of arrows of where he moved etc...

Is there no replay for PBEM or am I doing something wrong?

My opponent explained it to me that there is no reply just the arrows and dots, so what does the dot mean, was that hex attacked cuz it looks like sometimes it is or sometimes it was teh attacker, maybe it means casualties?

It means a battle waas fought on that hex. The unit may have been destroyed or forced to retreat from the hex.
